Cultural Competency

Welcome

At Magellan, we work to support culturally competent care — our goal is to collaborate with providers for member care that recognizes the diverse backgrounds of the individuals and families we serve. Our strategies acknowledge and respect the behavior, ideas, attitudes, values, beliefs and language of an individual or group of people.

Below is a link to some of our corporate resources outlining how we incorporate cultural competence into our care and services. On this page you’ll find a comprehensive resource kit, an introduction to our treatment philosophy and information sheets on the topic.

Note that providers are required to complete three hours of Cultural Competency Training annually. If all of the following modules of Cultural Competency Training are completed, you will receive three and a half hours of credit.
